The following update from Kevin Bachewich – RMNP Townsite Manager

Updates from this Past Weekend’s Storm & Gate Hours

This is the latest road report/update from this past weekend’s storm.

Moon Lake campground: Closed until further notice
WCG Otentiks: All clear.
Lake Audy road from station through to 61A: Closed.
61A from RM to Hwy 10: Opened on Tuesday. This road has been plowed and is in good shape.
Frith Beach access road : Opened up to Camp Kips.
Highway 19 : Closed. Operators opened #19 to Katherine. Arrowhead, Brûlé and Katherine are plowed out.
Rolling River road: Closed.
Clear Lake Campground : Streets open, not back lanes at this time unless required.
Townsite streets: Opened for access
North Shore Road and loops: Open

NOTE: We are not opening up any parking lots at this time, unless required. With the predicted warm weather, we are hoping mother nature will remove the snow for us. Reasoning is that we are out of high visitation and the more snow we pile up, the less chance it is going to melt. We will assess again next week and remove snow if required.

Also as a reminder, the north gate is closed for the season.
The south gate hours for the winter months are as follows:
– closed Mondays to Thursdays
– open Fridays from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
– open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
