Summer Regional & Urban Planning Student- Cabin Area
The Park has arranged for a summer student, Michael Rac, who is working on his Masters of Regional and Urban Planning, to assist with providing information on the water and sewer project and other issues relevant to our Cabin area. Michael will be available to meet with all cabin owners at the ‘Cleaners Cabin’ # 3 – 1 St South, Wednesday through Sunday between the hours of 10:30am – Noon and 1:30 pm to 5:00pm until the end of August.
This summer Michael will be collecting information and comments from cabin owners in order to complete a Comprehensive Design Review of the Cabin Area. He will be looking at various planning topics including parking and traffic, security and safety, vegetation management, and lakeshore management. The input Michael receives from cabin owners will directly influence his recommendation for the Review.
In addition he will be providing information, and able to answer questions, relating to the upcoming water and sewer project and any other development in the Cabin Area.
Michael will return next summer to present the proposals developed from these conversations and his extensive evaluation of the cabin area. This project will help the cabin owners and the Park develop long-term planning goals and design concepts for the area.
