Wedding Ceremony at the Jamboree Hall May 18, 2019
Here are a few photos from Gwenan Guillas and Miguel Letain’s wedding on May 18, 2019.
They were grade school sweethearts having met in Grade 3 but started dating about 5 years ago. The day was beautiful, if a little bit cool. A high of 9 degrees Celsius did not put a damper on the day. The active wind also contributed to some fun action shots. Both Miguel and Gwenan graduated from the University of Winnipeg this spring and have now relocated to Yellowknife where Gwenan is starting her career as teacher. Christine Harapiak and Jean-Louis Guillas, and their daughters have had a cabin in the Old Campground since 2005 and count it as one of the truly special places in the world.

Fund Raiser at the Jamboree Hall August 12, 2017
A Family Comedy Hypnosis Show was held in the Jamboree Hall as a fund raiser on August 12, 2017, with the proceeds going toward an AED for the Campground. $491.65 was raised at this event. There were two other donations from Association members of $100.00 and $20.00, which gave us a grand total of $611.65. The Association paid the remainder of the cost and we now have purchased an AED for our campground.

Wedding Ceremony at the Jamboree Hall May 28, 2017
Catherine Seeley and Luis Ramirez exchanged their wedding vows at the Jamboree Hall on May 28, 2017.
Jamboree Hall was the perfect location for our wedding on May 28th, 2017. Clear Lake is a very special place for us, and being able to celebrate our marriage there was important. We wanted something discrete and comfortable with a view of the lake, which made Jamboree Hall an obvious choice. Our guests had no problem finding it, and they enjoyed its simplicity. The stage was large enough to fit a string quartet, which looked and sounded beautiful. We would be delighted to have another celebration in the Jamboree Hall, and would not hesitate to recommend this venue to couples looking for a private and comfortable place for their wedding in Clear Lake.

Kyla Cottom and Ben Isleifson exchanged wedding vows at the Jamboree Hall on July 22, 2016. Kyla’s dad, Brian Cottom, walked her down the aisle.
It was really special to get married in the old campground, where I spent my summers, and be piped in by bag piper and clear lake/old campgrounder Scott Dickson. Growing up, we loved when there was a wedding and would run down to watch. Seeing third street north lined with people watching our ceremony made everything so surreal and special.

Carol Curtis’s 50th Birthday party was held at the Jamboree Hall on September 6, 2015.
My mom’s surprise 50th birthday party was a fantastic time! Many family members and friends got together to celebrate at the Jamboree Hall. We set up a photo booth and had a scavenger hunt take place by the docks, cabins and town sight! We were so happy to share such a special event with our cabin neighbours, friends from Minnedosa, Brandon, Winnipeg, and Calgary!

Wedding Ceremony at the Jamboree Hall October 4, 2014
Kathy Howard and Jim Bishop exchanged their wedding vows at the Jamboree Hall on October 4, 2014.
We had the pleasure of renting the Jamboree Hall for our small wedding on October 4, 2014. We knew we wanted to get married somewhere in the park as it is our favourite place to be. Outdoor venues were hard to come by as we wanted a private ceremony with minimal chance of onlookers. I stumbled across the Jamboree Hall and Joyce was so helpful and just lovely to work with on renting it for our day.
It was exactly what we were looking for: rustic, private, covered, and absolutely full of charm! We loved it just the way it was and did minimal decorations.
I would highly recommend the hall to anyone looking to get married in Clear Lake that wants privacy as well as a covered outdoor space.

Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party at the Jamboree Hall June 29, 2014
Jaimie Rose celebrated her Sixteenth Birthday party at the Jamboree Hall on June 29, 2014!!!
Our daughter, Jaimie Rose, celebrated her sweet 16 Birthday Party at the Jamboree Hall on June 29, 2014. A lot of our friends and relatives were there. It is a great memory. She continued on to a 4 year voice performance course. She graduates from BU this year!
The Jamboree Hall is a lovely place to have any event. The amazing scenery and rustic surroundings will make any occasion special.

Wedding Ceremony at the Jamboree Hall July 13, 2013
The very first Special Event held in the Jamboree Hall was a Wedding Ceremony between Corrie Lynn McDougall and Mark-Jan Daalderop on July 13, 2013.
On July 13, 2013, Corrie Lynn McDougall and Mark-Jan Daalderop made a promise to love each other and to help each other find happiness. It was a special day for me especially, having spent every summer of my life in the Old Campground. The Jamboree Hall was the only place to bring together the most important people in our lives. My romantic memory of the Hall began as a child with many an evening chasing friends over and under the benches, or singing and acting on stage. We were the first couple to be married since the Hall’s refurbishment and the day didn’t disappoint. It was a magical afternoon – the sun shone through the rafters, and the blue waters of Clear Lake glistened in the background. Riding Mountain continues to be a place unlike any other.

SPECIAL EVENTS HELD AT THE JAMBOREE HALL BEGINNING June 29, 2013
At a CLCA Board Meeting on June 29, 2013 Dwight McMillan from Parks Canada requested that our Board assume full control of rental of the newly renovated Jamboree Hall. The Board agreed to this and Joyce Harland, Treasurer of the CLCA, volunteered and was appointed to be the contact person for this endeavour. Dwight suggested that we ask for a refundable damage deposit and also ask for a donation for the use of the Hall. He also suggested that we develop a set of Guidelines for the use of the Hall. The Executive members of the CLCA Board held a meeting and, in keeping with Dwight’s suggestions, decided what those guidelines would be. Joyce Harland drew up a contract for the use of the Hall. This contract is still in affect today. Since then we have been fortunate enough to have many Special Events take place at the Jamboree Hall.
I am very happy to create this Category on our website to share with you, our Association Members, the Events that have been held beginning in 2013. I hope you enjoy this and visit it often as it will be updated each time someone uses the Jamboree Hall for their Special Event.
